Hanoi International Tourism Fair - VITM Hanoi is an international tourism event organized annually by the Vietnam Tourism Association. With the goal of developing tourism in a green, sustainable - quality - modern technology application direction, the 2025 fair has the theme "Developing green destinations - Elevating Vietnam Tourism".

Speaking at the closing ceremony held on the afternoon of April 13, 2025, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association Nguyen Hong Hai said that the new feature of this year's fair is the large space dedicated to introducing AI applications and automation technology in tourism activities. In particular, 15 domestic and foreign technology companies joined hands to create a technology map for the Vietnamese tourism industry; 20 advanced solutions including AI, Robots, Smart Hotels contributed to creating a closed experience journey for visitors; 14 topics were shared in the TechTalk section; 6,000 visitors participated in the experience.

The fair attracted nearly 4,500 domestic and international tourism businesses, with more than 14,500 meetings and cooperation exchanges held. More than 15,000 tours and promotional tourism products were introduced at the event. After 4 days of organization, it is estimated that about 95,000 visitors came to visit and shop; revenue from tourism product sales reached over 180 billion VND; 95% of participating businesses achieved the set goals.

Within the framework of the fair, more than 20 events and tourism promotion activities were organized, including: Business-to-business meetings, business-to-customer meetings, activities of domestic and foreign tourism promotion agencies. These activities significantly contribute to the recovery and acceleration of Vietnam's tourism development. Typical are tourism promotion forums of localities such as: Quang Nam, Bac Giang, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho, Quang Ninh... with new organization methods, combining the introduction of destinations and discussion of solutions to build green and sustainable destinations.

The highlight of the specialized events at VITM Hanoi 2025 is the Forum “Developing Green Tourism Destinations - Elevating Vietnam Tourism” organized by the Vietnam Tourism Association. The Forum attracted the attention of representatives of state management agencies, researchers, domestic and foreign tourism experts, tourism business leaders and destination management agencies... to discuss the Green Tourism Criteria developed by the Vietnam Tourism Association.

Within the framework of the forum, the Vietnam Tourism Association announced the decision to establish the Vietnam Green Tourism Association and launched the Executive Board of the Association, aiming to concretize the goal of "Developing green destinations - Elevating Vietnam Tourism".

At the closing ceremony, the Vietnam Tourism Association also held a ceremony to honor outstanding organizations, businesses and individuals in the tourism sector in 2024 and awarded commemorative medals to agencies and units that contributed to the success of the fair.
