The Department of Culture, Science and Information advises the People's Committee of Tan Hong district to direct departments, offices, units and People's Committees of communes and towns to regularly propagate, raise awareness and knowledge of protecting, preserving and promoting cultural values, cultural heritage and historical relics for local people. Prepare a scientific dossier to rank Binh Phu Communal House (Tan Ho Co commune) as a provincial relic and direct the review, adjustment and supplementation of funding sources to preserve, repair and restore historical and cultural relics in the locality.
Tan Hong district has started construction of the Ca Trap revolutionary base relic area (Tan Phuoc commune), selected contractors to restore Phuoc Thien pagoda relic (Binh Phu commune), and Thong Binh crossroads communal house (Thong Binh commune). In addition, the investment and renovation of facilities at the Giong Thi Dam - Go Quan Cung national relic site has been completed and put into service, contributing to creating a spacious appearance worthy of a national relic site, attracting visitors to visit and learn about local history.
The Cultural - Community Learning Centers of the communes regularly organize activities such as: mass art performances, Army - People Tet holiday, national solidarity day, sustainable family development club activities... with the participation of many people. Tan Hong district focuses on building new and investing in repairing 38/38 Cultural Houses of hamlets and villages combined with Hamlet and Village Headquarters in 9 communes and towns. The model of Cultural Houses of hamlets and villages combined with Hamlet and Village Headquarters is fully equipped with tables, chairs, and equipment to ensure the organization of meetings and local cultural events.
The Department of Culture, Science and Information advised on organizing 2 photo exhibitions about the image of the homeland and people of Tan Hong; historical and cultural relics, tourist attractions of the district and a photo collection of Dong Thap lotus on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Tan Hong district; skillful baking contest, mass art performance, children with reading culture, graceful ao dai... In particular, Tan Hong district participated and achieved many outstanding achievements in the fields of culture, art and sports organized by the province: The contest "Uncle Ho in my heart" won the Excellent prize and 2 Third prizes; the Reading Culture Ambassador contest won 1 Third prize and 2 Encouragement prizes; the Mass Art contest won the Third prize of the program; the women's football of Phu Dong Sports Festival won the Championship; the Taekwondo of Phu Dong Sports Festival won the First prize of the whole Delegation...
In the coming time, the locality will continue to pay attention to investing in building cultural institutions as well as improving the quality of activities of grassroots cultural institutions; the quality of organizing the "National Great Unity" Festival in residential areas on November 18 every year, associated with emulation and reward evaluation. In addition, promoting the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with building new rural communes, advanced new rural communes and new rural districts; mobilizing resources to build cultural facilities, entertainment areas, community activities and integrating with the management, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values in the area. Thereby, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of people in border areas.
