Strengthening management of mineral activities in the province

DTO - In order to strengthen state management, regularly monitor, promptly detect and strictly handle violations of the law on mineral exploitation, transportation and business activities in Dong Thap province, especially at sand mines being exploited to serve the Central Expressway under a special mechanism, the Provincial People's Committee requests the Provincial Mineral Inspection Team (established under Decision No. 09/QD-UBND-TL dated January 15, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee) to focus on and maintain regular inspection activities according to the assigned tasks and functions of the Provincial Mineral Inspection Team. Urgently organize on-site inspections at sand mines being exploited to serve the Central Expressway under a special mechanism, ensuring the exploitation and supply of sand to the approved project, avoiding loss and resolutely handling violations in accordance with regulations. Report the inspection results to the Provincial People's Committee no later than April 2, 2025.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment closely coordinates with the Provincial Police, the Provincial Mineral Inspection Team and related units to strengthen inspection and supervision, requiring mine owners to strictly implement regulations on mineral exploitation.

The provincial police directed its subordinate units to strengthen patrols and controls, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations in mineral activities (illegal exploration, exploitation, transportation, and consumption of minerals, etc.), or recommend that competent authorities handle them promptly.

The Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts and cities to direct their affiliated units to strengthen inspection and supervision of mineral exploitation in the area.
