Bamboo Capital – Foxlink – Micro Electricity Renewable Energy Alliance

Bamboo Capital Group, Foxlink and Micro Electricity will work together to develop energy data technology and service solutions for Bamboo Capital Group's renewable energy projects and other customers in the ASEAN region.

Under the agreement, Bamboo Capital Group, Foxlink and Micro Electricity will cooperate to establish a joint venture company in Singapore before the end of June 2025. This company will serve as a platform to develop advanced technologies such as energy storage systems (ESS), energy management systems (EMS), and energy blockchain technology (EBT).

Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, General Director of Bamboo Capital, Mr. James Le, Chairman of Foxlink Group and Mr. Mindi Wang, Chairman of Micro Electricity (seated row, from left to right) signed the cooperation agreement.

The three parties will select suitable renewable energy projects within Bamboo Capital Group’s portfolio to develop a pilot model of photovoltaic system operation and maintenance (PV O&M) and smart energy management system (EMS) with an estimated capacity of 100 to 300 MWp, while promoting carbon credit services and international renewable energy certificates (IREC).

As a leading renewable energy developer in Vietnam, Bamboo Capital Group will contribute its extensive experience in the Vietnamese market and share its ability to cooperate in developing Bamboo Capital’s diverse portfolio of energy projects. Meanwhile, Micro Electricity will bring comprehensive energy management technology. And Foxlink, which is known for its high-tech component manufacturing capabilities, will support optimization and attract international investment, encouraging high-tech companies to move their factories to Vietnam.

In the first phase of cooperation, Bamboo Capital Group, Micro Electricity and Foxlink will focus on developing joint ventures and implementing green energy solutions, especially projects under the direct power purchase agreement (DPPA) mechanism to meet the growing demand for green energy of the high-tech industry in Vietnam.

With over 30 years of experience, Foxlink is a world-leading corporation in the field of manufacturing high-tech components and equipment. The company specializes in providing products such as connectors, cables, batteries and energy management devices for major brands such as Apple, Microsoft and Google. With more than 15 facilities worldwide and a total of more than 29,000 employees, in 2023 Foxlink achieved a huge revenue of up to NT$90.9 billion (about 2.91 billion USD).

Currently, Foxlink is constantly investing in advanced technologies such as optics and wireless telecommunications, providing solutions from components to finished products for customers. In Vietnam, Foxlink is investing heavily in a $135 million electronics factory project in Da Nang High-Tech Park. This project is expected to create jobs for about 2,000 workers and produce high-tech devices such as styluses, wireless headphones and electronic printed circuit boards.

At the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam - General Director of Bamboo Capital - affirmed that the event is not only a cooperation agreement, but also a common mission to bring clean and sustainable energy. Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam believes that this event marks an important milestone, opening a good start of cooperation between Bamboo Capital, Foxlink and Micro Electricity, and creating value not only for the business but also for the community and the country.

Mr. Mindi Wang – Chairman of Micro Electricity – expressed the harmony in vision between the parties on renewable energy. Mr. Mindi Wang quoted the famous saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far and sustainably, go together”, expressing the belief that this cooperation will achieve great goals and bring prosperity to the community.

Mr. James Lee – Chairman of Foxlink Group – emphasized the importance of intellectual property and product differentiation in the context of globalization. He highly appreciated the cooperation not only in energy production but also towards building an integrated ecosystem, affirming that this will be the factor that helps the parties overcome challenges and lead the market.

Vietnam has been actively "cleaning the nest" to welcome "technology eagles" to invest, such as NVIDIA, Foxconn, Foxlink, etc. Bamboo Capital Group's continuous cooperation with leading international corporations such as SK Group, Hanwha Group, SembCorp, SP Group, etc. and this time Foxlink Group, has affirmed the position and trust of large international corporations in Bamboo Capital.
