On March 29, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued a draft guideline for university and college admissions, outlining the university admission timelines. According to the draft guideline for university and college admissions in 2025, candidates eligible for direct admission or priority admission according to regulations must submit their applications to universities by June 30 at the latest.

For candidates who are admitted directly, before July 15, they will receive admission information from the schools and continue to register their admission wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's system to be considered according to the general schedule.

From July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates can register, adjust, and add to their university admission wishes, with no limit on the number of times. Registration of admission wishes for majors/programs must be done online. All admission wishes of candidates are processed on the system and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest wish among the registered wishes.

After the high school exam scores are available, schools will announce the threshold for ensuring input quality. Before 5:00 p.m. on July 23, for teacher training majors and majors in the health sector that are licensed to practice, schools using high school exam scores for admission must update the threshold for ensuring input quality.

From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. August 5, candidates must pay the application fee online.

Before 5:30 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates (including direct candidates) must confirm their enrollment on the system (if they wish to study).

The Ministry of Education and Training requires schools not to organize admission before August 22 and not to finish confirming admission or finishing admission before 5:00 p.m. on August 30 (including for joint training programs with foreign countries).

From September 1 to December, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds must follow the admission information posted on the school's admission information page.

If schools conduct additional admissions, candidates who have passed the entrance exam and have confirmed their enrollment will not be considered for additional admissions, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them not to enroll.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. Candidates studying the current general education program (2018 program) must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages).

The group following the old program (2006) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education). The Ministry will announce the 2025 high school graduation exam scores on July 16.
