On October 25, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Phung Nguyen Commune, Lam Thao District, together with his family, held a ceremony to receive, pay their respects and bury the remains of martyr Bui Quang Can at his hometown cemetery after more than 56 years of heroic sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the nation. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Lam Thao District People's Committee and the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs (HTGĐLS).

Martyr Bui Quang Can was born in 1944 in a family of 6 siblings in Son Duong commune (now Phung Nguyen commune), including 4 brothers who all participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country. In 1966, he volunteered to join the army and was assigned to Battalion 9 KN, with the rank of Corporal and the position of Soldier.
During the fierce war, he and his comrades fought steadfastly to achieve the historic victory of Tet Mau Than 1968 and heroically sacrificed themselves at the Southern front (Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province) on March 7, 1968. After his death, martyr Bui Quang Can was gathered at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Cat Son commune, Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province. In recognition of his contributions to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, martyr Bui Quang Can was awarded by the State and the army the Third Class Medal of Resistance War Against America for National Salvation, the Glorious Soldier Medal and many other noble awards.
The ceremony to receive, pay respects and bury the remains of martyr Bui Quang Can was held solemnly and thoughtfully.
In order to meet the desire of the family of martyr Bui Quang Can to bring the martyr's remains back to his homeland, the Provincial Association of Martyrs and Families has coordinated with departments, branches, organizations, and local authorities to actively advise and guide the family to complete the procedures to support the movement of the martyr's remains back to his homeland by free rail.
The ceremony to receive, pay respects and bury the remains of martyr Bui Quang Can was organized thoughtfully, solemnly and dignifiedly in the presence of many local people.
