Worried about the third subject in the 10th grade entrance exam
The draft regulations on secondary school and high school admissions are being consulted by the Ministry of Education and Training. It is expected that this circular will be issued by the Ministry in December 2024, 3 months earlier than every year.
Teachers are also very concerned about the third subject in the 10th grade entrance exam. Because the draft of the ministry stipulates: High school admission is organized according to one of three methods: selection, entrance exam or a combination of selection and selection.
The number of exam subjects is three subjects including math, literature and a third subject or a combined exam selected by the Department of Education and Training or the university with the following conditions:
The third exam subject is selected from among the subjects that are assessed by scores in the general education program at the secondary level. The selection of the third exam subject has changed over the years to achieve the goal of comprehensive education in the basic education stage; The exam is a combination of subjects selected from among the subjects that are assessed by scores in the general education program at the secondary level.
Many teachers and parents disagree with the content that "the third exam subject has changed over the years".
Many people believe that the third subject does not necessarily need to change over the years; the third subject should be selected by the Department of Education based on the local human resource development orientation; changing the third subject would put more pressure on students and schools...
