According to The Guardian , the US military removed the pier on June 28 due to bad weather and rough seas. Pentagon spokesman Pat Ryder said on July 9 that the pier is currently in the Israeli port of Ashdod.
Since its installation on May 17, the pier has been in operation for less than 20 days, with aid only being delivered on the beach and not distributed around Gaza due to security concerns. The Pentagon has previously insisted that the pier is a temporary project, designed to push Israel to allow aid to flow better over land routes.
