Lao Cai has another international border gate; Hanoi ensures Tet goods

- Lao Cai will have more international border gates

Lao Cai province will have two more pairs of international border gates opened and upgraded. These two pairs of border gates are both on the Vietnam-China border, the section between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China). They are the Muong Khuong - Kieu Dau border gate pair and the Ban Vuoc (Bat Xat) - Pa Sa border gate pair. Currently, Lao Cai has the Lao Cai - Ha Khau International Road Border Gate pair in operation (according to VTV).

- Hanoi ensures supply of goods for Tet, estimated at nearly 41,000 billion VND

To prepare for the 2024 Lunar New Year shopping season, Hanoi has taken measures and proactively developed plans to meet the increasing demand for goods from the people. According to the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, the estimated total value of goods for Tet 2024 in the area is about 40,900 billion VND, an increase of 10% compared to Tet 2023 (according to Lao Dong).

According to the General Statistics Office, in the past 9 months, the whole country had 116.3 thousand newly registered enterprises. In addition, 48.9 thousand enterprises returned to operation; bringing the total number of newly established enterprises and enterprises returning to operation in the 9 months to 165.2 thousand enterprises, up 1.2% over the same period last year. On average, there were 18.4 thousand newly established and returning enterprises per month (according to VTV).
