This afternoon, August 30, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945-2024), the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province solemnly held a ceremony to pay tribute, offer incense, and offer flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, and the General Secretary Le Duan Memorial Site. With the moral of "When drinking water, remember its source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree", in a sacred and emotional atmosphere, at the Truong Son and Road 9 National Martyrs' Memorial Sites, provincial leaders and delegates solemnly laid wreaths and offered incense to express their respect and infinite gratitude for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

Therefore, the Party Committee, the government and the people of Quang Tri province will forever remember the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, thereby promoting the spirit of determination to act to build the homeland to be more civilized, prosperous and beautiful and to do better in caring for and organizing gratitude and social security activities.

In a solemn atmosphere, at the Central Memorial of Quang Tri Citadel, provincial leaders and delegates laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the outstanding sons of the homeland and country who fought bravely, sacrificed and remained forever on the heroic land of Quang Tri. With the background music of "Soul of the Martyrs", delegates observed a moment of silence to remember, express gratitude and honor the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who devoted their youth to protect Quang Tri Citadel during the 81-day and night battle in the fiery summer of 1972, contributing to gaining independence and freedom for the Fatherland. The blood and bones of the fallen heroes became immortal for today's young generation to continue to devote all their efforts to building the homeland and country to become more prosperous and beautiful.
