The returned properties include money, cash, mobile phones, documents... properties with low value from a few hundred thousand to a few million, in some cases even a valuable gold bracelet or a 45 million VND money bag... were all verified and returned to the losers.

Mr. Ho Van Dao - Captain of the Dong Ba Market Management Board's Order - said that there were so many cases of returning lost property to people, up to hundreds of cases, that he couldn't remember them all. In mid-August 2024, Mr. Tran Trong Anh - working in Hanoi, after traveling in Hue, stopped by Dong Ba market to shop, when he was moving to Phu Bai airport to return home, he realized that his Iphone X was lost. He thought he had lost it, but after returning to Hanoi, he received a message from Dong Ba market management board via zalo, verifying that someone had picked up his phone. After specific verification, Dong Ba market management board returned it to him.

However, there are still cases where people find lost items in other areas but still bring them to the market management board to have them verified and returned to the owner. There was a woman who found lost items on Le Loi Street (about 500 meters from the market) but she brought them to the management board and asked them to notify the owner to return them, Mr. Ho Van Dao said.
According to Mr. Dao, after returning the property to the person who lost it, they were very happy, even gave money to thank them, but he never accepted it. “There was a case where a woman bought fruit on Chuong Duong Street - Dong Ba Market and after buying it, unfortunately lost her wallet. Then, someone picked it up and asked the Management Board to return it. When it was returned, she was very happy, in the wallet at that time there was about more than 1 million and many documents, she took out all the money and gave it to me, only keeping the important documents, but we did not take it. After talking for a long time without success, she asked to shake my hand to say thank you with a friendly smile,” Mr. Dao shared.
