From this Western floating market, visitors can directly see the Landmark 81 building and metro station. These are symbols of modern Ho Chi Minh City.

The "floating" market of the West on Van Thanh Lake, located right at Van Thanh metro station, has more than 20 boats selling on the river. The vendors on the boats wear traditional Vietnamese dress, and looking down from the metro station, it looks no different from a Ho Chi Minh City version of the West floating market.

"I normally come here through the Dien Bien Phu gate, but this year's festival has a new entrance which is very interesting. Not only that, I can buy fruits, corn, rice and vermicelli sold on boats here in the middle of the city," Ms. Ho Thi Vy (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) told Tuoi Tre Online.

According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Chairman of Saigontourist Group, this year's festival, in addition to bringing delicious dishes, culinary culture, unique cultural and artistic activities, the organizers want visitors to the festival to also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a space filled with a festive atmosphere imbued with the cultural identity of the three regions.

And for the first time in 4 years, the festival has two differently decorated gates. Therefore, visitors are excited to check-in, shop right on the boat, and experience enjoying fruits, cakes, and specialties of the West floating on the water.
