Ho Tram is currently a high-end resort paradise with many big investors in real estate and tourism. Therefore, the construction of a direct road connecting Ho Tram to Long Thanh airport is expected to help this coastal area expand and welcome more tourists.
How far is Long Thanh Airport from Ho Tram?
At a recent working session with Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai provinces and related units, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directly directed the Ministry of Transport, leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Dong Nai provinces to study and deploy many types of transportation connecting directly to Long Thanh airport.
Ho Tram is considered a luxury resort paradise in the South.
In particular, the Prime Minister requested Ba Ria - Vung Tau to quickly research and soon deploy a direct road connecting Ho Tram (Xuyen Moc district) to Long Thanh airport. The purpose is to maximize the development of this high-class tourist and resort land.
According to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Ho Tram is developing, is the place where major events take place, and has great potential for tourism... Therefore, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to proactively and urgently complete traffic projects connecting to Long Thanh airport.
Research the fastest route connecting directly from Ho Tram to Long Thanh airport to develop the Ho Tram area more effectively.
In terms of geographical location, Ho Tram is about 130km from Ho Chi Minh City and about 80 - 130km from Dong Nai and Binh Duong, next to Binh Thuan province.
Currently, localities are implementing many traffic routes such as: Building new ones such as the Vung Tau - Binh Thuan coastal road, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway...
Ho Tram is only 50km from Long Thanh airport, it is expected that international visitors will prioritize choosing Ho Tram for entertainment, relaxation, and swimming. Therefore, the picture of the resort real estate market in Ho Tram in the coming years will flourish.
To get to Ho Tram, from Ho Chi Minh City or Dong Nai, tourists mainly travel on National Highway 51 or National Highway 56, then enter the coastal road of Vung Tau - Binh Thuan or other provincial roads.
However, Highway 51 is currently overloaded, and the roads in the province are in circles.
Particularly from Long Thanh airport, people currently mainly travel on National Highway 51, to the border point of Long Thanh district (Dong Nai) with Phu My town (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), turn left onto Phuoc Binh street. From here, follow Vo Van Kiet street to inter-district roads, to provincial road 328, then continue to join the intra-provincial road, to Vung Tau - Binh Thuan road to Ho Tram.
With this route, the travel time from Long Thanh airport to Ho Tram will take nearly 2 hours for a distance of about 80km.
If there is a direct road connecting Long Thanh through Phu My to Chau Duc and through Xuyen Moc directly to Ho Tram, the expected travel time will be less than 1 hour and the distance will be only about 50km.
There will be many directions to Ho Tram
Thus, there is currently no direct route from Long Thanh airport to Ho Tram to shorten the distance and travel time.
Later, when Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is put into operation, tourists can also follow this expressway to Ba Ria city and then follow National Highway 56 to Ho Tram more conveniently, especially when National Highway 51 is overloaded.
Leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said they are studying the shortest routes connecting the eastern sea, Cai Mep - Thi Vai port to Long Thanh airport to maximize the local potential.
In the immediate future, in addition to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, the province is also speeding up the completion of procedures related to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
At that time, Ring Road 4 will contribute to attracting tourists from the provinces of the Southwest and Southeast to Ho Tram more conveniently.
Two major forums and conferences in early December were both held in Ho Tram, with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attending.
From Phuoc Hai, stretching through Ho Tram to Binh Chau, there are dozens of large resorts that have been put into operation with a large number of visitors, especially on weekends.
Large areas such as: The Grand Ho Tram Strip, Carmelina Beach Resort, Le Palmier Ho Tram, Ho Tram Beach Boutique Resort & Spa, Emerald Ho Tram Resort, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, Angsana & Dhawa Ho Tram are places that attract a large number of visitors.
Besides, there is also The Bluffs Ho Tram golf course, ranked 68th in the world's top 100 golf courses voted by Golf Digest Magazine and is currently the best golf course in Southeast Asia.
Ms. Minh Vi, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that Ho Tram beach is not crowded and peaceful, so it is suitable for relaxation. However, the traffic connection is not convenient.
Normally it takes more than 3 hours to get from Ho Chi Minh City to Ho Tram, but on weekends it can take nearly 5 hours to get there.
"The beach is beautiful but the road is difficult, so tourists often go to Vung Tau, or even go straight to Phan Thiet on the highway, which is sometimes faster. There should be direct routes connecting to Ho Tram to attract tourists," said Ms. Vi.
Ms. Thuong and her family also have many vacation trips to Ho Tram on weekends.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thuong - a tourist from Dong Nai is also quite interested in the beauty of the large resorts in Ho Tram.
Before the news that there will be a direct road connecting Long Thanh airport to Ho Tram in the future, Ms. Thuong expressed her joy and anticipation.
"I hope that when there is a big road connecting directly from Dong Nai to here, more people and tourists will come to this coastal area. The beautiful, long, gentle beach, modern resorts with many amenities, and convenient roads will attract many visitors," said Ms. Thuong.
The eastern sea of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has many advantages for tourism development.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Vinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, said that the locality is focusing on investing in regional transportation systems such as Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Phuoc An bridge, and Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4.
These will be strong development drivers not only for Ba Ria - Vung Tau but also for the whole region in the coming time.
The planning of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province also focuses on investing in transportation connecting the Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water seaport system, Cai Mep Ha Free Trade Zone linked to Long Thanh International Airport. Developing the eastern sea area, including Ho Tram.
Many of Ba Ria - Vung Tau's intra-provincial roads are picturesque (in the photo is National Highway 55 through An Nhut rice fields).
Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau said that the province is focusing on investing in inter-provincial transport infrastructure.
Many programs have been implemented to support businesses and investors to boost the economy. In addition, the locality has also been successful in building a safe and quality tourism environment.
