100th anniversary of General Doan Khue's birth

On the afternoon of October 27, at the Quang Tri Provincial Cinema and Cultural Center, the Ministry of National Defense and the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of General Doan Khue (October 29, 1923 - October 29, 2023; former Politburo member, former Minister of National Defense).

Attending the ceremony were General Luong Cuong (Member of the Politburo, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army); representatives of departments, ministries, branches, central agencies, Military Region 4, Military Region 5; provinces and cities; leaders and former leaders of Quang Tri province...

At the ceremony, General Luong Cuong requested the Party Committee and the people's government of Quang Tri province, with the pride of being the hometown of General Doan Khue, to continue to promote the results and achievements that have been achieved...

Also on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of General Doan Khue's birth, the same morning, the Ministry of National Defense chaired and coordinated with Quang Tri province to organize a scientific seminar: "General Doan Khue - A staunch communist, an excellent leader and commander of the Vietnam People's Army, an outstanding son of his homeland Quang Tri".

Previously, on the afternoon of October 26, at village 1 (Trieu Lang commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri), the Party Committee, government and people of Trieu Phong district held the inauguration ceremony of the General Doan Khue Memorial Area, with a total cost of 9 billion VND./.
