On the afternoon of December 25, the Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue coordinated with the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to hold a signing ceremony for a contract to coordinate aviation search and rescue work.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue and Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation chaired the signing ceremony.

The contract document aims to specify the contents of the notification method and coordination between the Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue and the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to ensure that the coordination of search and rescue of civil aviation aircraft and military transport aircraft in the administrative boundary area of ​​responsibility of Dak Lak province is implemented quickly, promptly, with the highest efficiency, minimizing damage to people and property when civil aviation aircraft and military transport aircraft are in danger or in distress.

Comrade Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, spoke at the signing ceremony.

Specifically, the two sides will coordinate in determining priority search areas; develop and implement the Search and Rescue Plan and the Search and Rescue Flight Plan as approved by the National Committee for Natural Disaster Response and Search and Rescue. Exchange information and documents related to aviation search and rescue between the two sides. Coordinate in organizing propaganda, professional training, and training on aviation search and rescue. Coordinate in developing plans and organizing exercises and drills for aviation search and rescue in Dak Lak province. Support forces, vehicles, and equipment for aviation search and rescue when requested.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thien Van, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, emphasized that the Agreement will be the basis for the parties to coordinate in performing aviation search and rescue tasks. Dak Lak Province will direct relevant departments, branches, sectors and units to seriously implement tasks within their scope of functions, clearly understand the tasks, procedures, methods of coordination, and notification of themselves and relevant agencies and units so that the coordination and coordination of search and rescue can be implemented promptly and most effectively when there is a case of an aircraft in danger or in an accident.
