The Vietnamese women's futsal team entered the final match of the group stage against Thailand with a relaxed mentality. After 3 victories against Myanmar (5-2), Indonesia (5-0) and the Philippines (6-1), coach Tran Dinh Hoang and his team are certain to be present in the final match (between the first and second teams in the group). The match against Thailand today (November 20) is only a formality, to determine which team will play the first role and which team will hold the second position.

Due to the relaxed nature of the match, Coach Dinh Hoang gave maximum opportunities to the players who rarely played in the Vietnam women's futsal team. Important players such as Thanh Hang, Phuong Anh, Bui Thi Trang and Bien Thi Hang were all used sparingly in this match, in order to save their place for the final match taking place tomorrow (November 21).

After a goalless first half, Thailand stepped up their game to put pressure on the game. The War Elephants' efforts were rewarded with two goals from Arya Saeten and Langrawi Villa. While Arya's goal came from a clever move to tap the ball in from close range, Villa's goal came from an unstoppable left-footed shot from inside the box.

Tomorrow the two teams play the final

Losing 0-2 in the first half, the Vietnamese women's futsal team tried hard to rise up in the second half to find the opening goal. However, the quality of the Vietnamese women's futsal reserve teams could not compare to the starting team. Coach Dinh Hoang's students conceded another goal, ending the match with a score of 0-3.

With a competition schedule of 5 matches/5 days, the Vietnamese women's futsal team must make appropriate personnel calculations in the match that only determines the first and second place in the group stage with Thailand this afternoon, to save energy for the important final match with Thailand at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (November 22).

This will be the key match, deciding the Southeast Asian women's futsal title.
