Da Nang University Village to start construction at the end of 2024

On the afternoon of October 11, the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City held a discussion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13), chaired by district leaders with local businesses and professional agencies.

Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, said that the direction of building Ngu Hanh Son District is to develop infrastructure, synchronous connection, create foundation and conditions for businesses to invest in large-scale projects and works, ensure security and order, worthy of being a tourist district.

In particular, My An Ward area is developed to become a key area for tourism and high-end services, My An market is aimed at becoming a tourist market, Tay An Thuong Street is expanded in phase 2, K20 revolutionary base in Khue My Ward is invested in. Hoa Hai Ward is cleared around the Ngu Hanh Son National Special Historical Relic to make a cultural park; Co Co River is dredged, aiming to become a key urban area.

Da Nang City aims to build a livable city, Ngu Hanh Son District strives to contribute to being a land worth visiting, Ngu Hanh Son people are harmonious, dedicated, responsible in building and contributing to the common cause.

"For example, the Da Nang University Village project, the clearance scale is over 41 hectares, with more than 600 households, 2,500 graves, many pagodas, communal houses, and clan churches. But with the dedication and efforts of the entire political system, especially with the support of local people, the site clearance was completed in just 4 months. The university village is expected to start construction at the end of 2024," said Mr. Nguyen Hoa.

Mr. Le Hoang Phuc, Director of the Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence of Da Nang City, shared that Ngu Hanh Son District has two advantages to lead the development trend of Da Nang City. That is the university village, where the city focuses on training human resources in microchips and semiconductors.

In addition, the tourist district is a special place that attracts high-quality human resources in microchips and semiconductors because these experts have very high salaries and benefits, and have a high demand for spending and enjoying services and tourism.

Ms. Mai Thi Anh Hong, Secretary of Ngu Hanh Son District Party Committee, said that 2024 is the first year that Ngu Hanh Son District joins the "1,000 billion VND Club" in terms of state budget revenue. This is a great effort of the locality, especially the strong turnaround of businesses contributing to the district's resilience.

Of which, in the first 6 months of this year, Ngu Hanh Son District has completed the city's budget target of 720 billion VND, and in the past 9 months, it has collected 1,038 billion VND, which does not depend on land revenue.
