Free medical examination for people in Ha Giang border

NDO - On March 4, provincial hospitals under the Department of Health of Ha Giang province organized medical examinations, health consultations and free medicine distribution for people in the border communes of Thang Mo, Phu Lung, Bach Dich and Na Khe, Yen Minh district.

The free medical examination and medicine distribution for people in border communes of Yen Minh district will take place from March 4 to 7. Doctors and nurses will examine people in border communes for cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure and provide free medicine.

Health workers also promote and educate people about community health, thereby helping them better understand non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and reproductive health care for women and children.

Through free medical examination, people in border communes of Ha Giang province detect and treat diseases promptly.

Border communes in Ha Giang province have more than 90% of households being ethnic minorities, with uneven educational levels and limited access to quality healthcare services.

Besides, the medical system is not well developed and transportation is difficult, leading to many limitations in medical examination and treatment in border communes.

Mr. Nguyen Van Giao, Director of the Department of Health of Ha Giang province, said that the health sector is implementing practical solutions to improve the quality of health care for people, such as increasing the number of doctors at health stations.

Ha Giang health sector has organized many free medical examinations for thousands of people.

At the same time, implementing periodic health check-ups for people in 34 border communes, each person will be examined at least once a year, helping to detect potential diseases early, thereby having timely treatment plans.

In recent times, the health sector has organized many medical examinations for people in mountainous and border areas. More than 3,000 people in districts such as Dong Van and Meo Vac have been examined and given free medicine.
