Opening of "Pot of love porridge"

On September 19, the Provincial Red Cross Society held the opening ceremony of “Love Porridge Pot” at Thanh Thuy District Medical Center to provide free breakfast for poor patients in difficult circumstances being treated at the District Medical Center.

The leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded the Golden Heart certificate to the collectives and individuals supporting the program.

With the spirit of "Sharing rice and clothes" to share difficulties with the community, the 2024 Charity Porridge Pot is sponsored by the Provincial Red Cross Society, Thanh Thuy District Medical Center, Venerable Thich Minh Thuan and Buddhists of Bodhisattva Dao Trang Bao Ngan Pagoda, Thien Phuc, Viet Tri City with a total value of 100 million VND.

Delegates directly invited poor patients and those in difficult circumstances to eat porridge.

The pot of charity porridge will be maintained and served free of charge to poor patients and those in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the Center every morning from Monday to Friday. Each porridge portion, though small, contains the love of benefactors who want to share some of the difficulties and bring joy to poor patients so that they can have more health, joy, and peace of mind during treatment.

On this occasion, the Provincial Red Cross Society awarded the Golden Heart of Humanity certificate to Thanh Thuy District Medical Center, Venerable Thich Minh Thuan and the Bodhisattva precepts of Bao Ngan and Thien Phuc pagodas for their contributions to the program "Pot of porridge of love".
