In addition, the training program has been transferred by Hanoi Medical University with 6 majors: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Diagnostic Imaging and Testing.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong emphasized: Human resource quality has been and is the top concern of the health sector, especially in the context of more and more facilities participating in the training process in the health sector in general and the pharmaceutical sector in particular. Training medical human resources is a fundamental solution to improve and enhance the quality of health care for the people.
The project "Piloting young volunteer doctors in difficult areas" (Project 585) is one of the practical and effective training methods to provide human resources with high professional and technical qualifications to meet the health care needs of people in difficult localities.
Thereby creating opportunities for the majority of the poor, people in remote, border, island areas, and areas with difficult socio-economic conditions to access increasingly better quality medical services, limit unnecessary referrals for treatment, contribute to reducing overload at upper-level hospitals, and avoid waste for the people and the community.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, the health sector is entering a new phase of recovery after the pandemic. With the Secretariat issuing a Directive on strengthening grassroots health care, the National Assembly's Resolution on District Health Centers being assigned to the District People's Committee for management, and the Ministry of Health adjusting the acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of Corona virus (COVID-19) from a group A infectious disease to a group B infectious disease.
In order for primary health care to be the foundation, human resources play a key role, so training quality is the goal set for teachers and students of the training courses of Project 585. Therefore, the Deputy Minister of Health requested Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy and hospitals providing practical training for students of class 585 to pay the most attention, support, and priority possible to students, especially ethnic minority students.
