On the morning of September 14, many foreigners gathered on many streets and flower gardens in the center of Hanoi. They wore protective gloves and coordinated with the authorities to cut branches and clean up fallen trees due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi).
According to the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, the above activity is a collaboration between the Hoan Kiem District Youth Union and a tourism connection company. The foreigners include those who are settled in the city and international tourists.
Johnny Harris (who has lived in Hanoi for 11 years) said that he and his team arrived early with the desire to contribute to Hanoi's soon beautiful image.
"Typhoon Yagi left a lot of damage in Hanoi. I live here, so I really want to contribute something to the city," he said.

Livy Nelson (33 years old, from England) said that witnessing the storm sweep through, she felt worried because of the terrible wind. When she learned about the group's activities, she immediately signed up to participate. "Hanoi is very good to me, I want to do something for this place," the female tourist said.
It is expected that about 200 foreign volunteers will participate in cleanup activities in areas around Hoan Kiem district on September 14 and 15.
"We didn't expect such a large number of registrants. You guys worked very seriously, no one was late and only rested during fixed hours," said Ms. Vu Thi Thai An (representative of Tubudd - the unit that came up with the idea for the activity).
