The Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 opened on the morning of March 29 at H2 Tan Son Stadium (Tan Binh District), with the participation of 32 football teams from primary schools in the city.
The tournament is organized for the first time by the Vietnam - Japan Football Star Sports Training Center (VJSS). In addition, the tournament has professional support from the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF).
Taking place on March 29 and 30, the tournament is not only an opportunity for 480 children to practice skills and improve their physical fitness, but also contributes to the development of the youth football movement in Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the tournament on the morning of March 29, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, representative of the organizing committee, shared: "We believe that football is not only a sport, but also a tool to help children practice their bravery, team spirit and will to succeed.

We hope that this tournament will become an annual event. At the same time, it will contribute to finding and nurturing young football talents for the future."
Right after the opening ceremony, the young players entered the competition on 8 fields. Many teams showed their excellent skills, creating beautiful plays that made both parents and spectators admire.
This is a great achievement from the school football program, which has been implemented by HFF since 2013 and has been increasingly developed to schools across the city. From the school football festival playground, children now have an official tournament to compete in.
In order to give maximum competition opportunities to young players, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 has a different competition format from regular tournaments.
Accordingly, 32 teams are divided into 8 groups, competing in a round robin to calculate rankings, selecting teams to compete in different divisions to compete for the championship.
The champion team of Class A will receive a trophy, gold medal and 10 million VND in prize money. The champion team of Class B will receive a trophy, gold medal and 6 million VND in prize money. The champion team of Class C will receive a trophy, gold medal and 5 million VND in prize money. The champion team of Class D will receive a trophy, gold medal and 4 million VND in prize money.
