Tourists coming to Quang Ngai have no shortage of places to play from April 30 until the end of summer.

Quang Ngai is focusing on organizing many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities to stimulate tourism during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, until the end of the summer peak season.

In order to stimulate tourism, Quang Ngai will organize Quang Ngai Tourism Week 2024 from April 22 to May 5, 2024. The opening ceremony will be held on April 27, 2024 in Ly Son district. The closing ceremony will take place on May 5, 2024 in Nghia Hanh district.

The tourism week has many activities such as: Organizing field survey teams, serving the media to promote tourism products; Workshop "Developing rural tourism, community tourism in Quang Ngai province - Opportunities and prospects"; Khao le the linh Hoang Sa ceremony and the traditional boat racing festival of the four sacred animals...

Besides, there is the Quang Ngai Province Women's Beach Volleyball Open Tournament; Exhibition of Sea and Island Cultural Heritage; Festival "Each OCOP product is a story" and space for agricultural and rural community tourism.

The series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son from May to August 2024 will also include activities such as: Hot air balloon festival (flying to Ly Son); artistic kite flying; Cross-sea swimming competition, Ly Son cross-country race - Following the footsteps of the frontline...

Sharing with Lao Dong , Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province said that Quang Ngai tourism week and a series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024 aim to introduce and promote the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Quang Ngai in general, Ly Son in particular; contributing to stimulating demand and attracting tourists.

Up to now, preparations for Quang Ngai Tourism Week - A series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024 have been basically completed according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee. Mr. Ta Cong Chuc - Deputy Director of the Port Management Board and Inland Waterway Port Authority of Sa Ky Port (Quang Ngai) said that to serve the tourism week, the unit has planned to increase from 7 to 9 trips/day from Sa Ky Port to Ly Son Island and vice versa.

Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan - Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee said that in addition to the upcoming Quang Ngai Tourism Week, in the long term, Quang Ngai has proposed a plan to invest in synchronous development of transport infrastructure associated with tourism infrastructure, improving traffic connectivity to relic sites and tourist attractions; calling for investment in entertainment activities to serve local people and visitors.

Regarding the development of sea and island tourism, the province has directed the development of a project to develop Ly Son district into a sea and island tourism center according to Resolution 26 of the Politburo. The draft project has been completed and is undergoing the review and approval process for implementation in the coming time.

Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan emphasized that in order for Ly Son to become a center of sea and island tourism, Quang Ngai prioritizes attracting social resources to invest in large-scale technical infrastructure projects according to the urban planning of Ly Son such as: Airport, passenger seaport; attracting investment in high-class hotels, resorts, large-scale entertainment. Thereby, meeting the increasingly high and diverse needs of tourists.
