The female student who complained that her exam paper was "stolen" has just received a conclusion letter from the Organizing Committee of the Genius Olympiad contest. Accordingly, the two essays are 86% similar.

The organizing committee of the Genius Olympiad competition has just sent a response letter to LKMC - a female student who just graduated from grade 9 in Ho Chi Minh City - regarding the "accusation" of another male student copying her competition topic and winning the prize.
In a response to the MC, the Genius Olympiad Organizing Committee ([email protected]) said that they had discovered a recently submitted project that had a high level of similarity to another student's original project.
Both students were instructed by the same teacher. After careful verification, the organizing committee determined that the student's work had 3-4 sentences that were completely identical to the original. Along with that, there were 3-4 other sentences that were highly similar, with rearranged words.
The results of the test through a text comparison tool determined that the two works had 86% similarity.
Therefore, the contest organizers have taken the necessary steps to revoke the prize.
Along with that, this unit has taken measures to handle the teacher who supervised the project submission as the account supervisor. The supervisor will not be able to submit any projects in the 2024 exam.
The contest organizers said they have learned from this incident and will consider strengthening measures to minimize the possibility of cheating.
Over the past few days, public opinion has been stirred up by the denunciation of a female LKMC student on social media. This female student participated in the Genius Olympiad 2023 competition with 2 projects in 2 categories: music and creative writing.
Mr. NMT (teacher at Gia Dinh High School, Ho Chi Minh City) was the one who suggested the topic and submitted MC's project to the organizing committee. Afterwards, teacher T announced that MC passed the music section but was eliminated from the creative writing section.
Later, the MC's family discovered that a similar project called "Chi Ly" was registered on the competition system. When asked by Mr. T, the teacher said that this was a coincidence.
In June 2023, when competing in the final round in the US, the MC discovered that a male student named NQU had put a lot of information in his project into a poster to present and win a bronze medal.
QU is also a student of teacher T. MC's family believes that their brains have been "stolen" and they are asking the school, teacher T and QU's family to resolve the matter.
