Germany's Harry Kane became the player with the most goals in his first eight Bundesliga appearances for Bayern, surpassing Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni.
On the evening of October 21, Kane scored a goal in Bayern's 3-1 win over Mainz in round 8. The English striker set a club record with nine goals in the first eight Bundesliga matches. Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni shared the old record, with eight goals in the first eight matches.
Only three Bundesliga players needed fewer games to reach Kane's tally, including Gert Dorfel (Hamburg, seven games), Paco Alcacer (Dortmund, seven games) and Erling Haaland (Dortmund, six games).
Kane joined Bayern in the summer for a Bundesliga record fee of $105 million. This figure does not include add-ons. After 11 appearances for his new club in all competitions, Kane has scored 10 goals. He is currently second in the race for the Bundesliga's top scorer in 2023-2024, with nine goals, five behind the leader Serhou Guirassy (Stuttgart).
The 3-1 win over Mainz also brought a new record for Thomas Muller, who became the player with the most wins in Bundesliga history with 323 wins in a Bayern shirt. Muller surpassed the old record of teammate Manuel Neuer, who had 322 wins with Bayern and Schalke.
In the match on the evening of October 21, Kim Min Jae completed all 102 passes accurately. The Korean center-back became the first player to have over 100 passes and complete 100% of them in a match in the top five European leagues, since February 26, 2022 (Aymeric Laporte of Man City with 110 passes).
Bayern are currently third in the Bundesliga with 20 points, after six wins and two draws. Leverkusen lead the table by two points, while Stuttgart are second on 21 points. Bayern have drawn two games against Leverkusen and fifth-placed Leipzig.
