Hanoi: Thanh Oai District continues to stop land auctions and return money
The auction of 57 land plots (phase 1) in Cao Duong commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi was scheduled to be held on September 8. However, this date has been canceled. The date for the re-organization has not yet been determined.
A week ago, Dau Tu Newspaper reported that Thanh Oai district postponed the auction of 57 land lots in the Dam area, Muc Xa village, Cao Duong commune. According to the announcement, the auction was rescheduled from August 17 to September 8. However, the auction of this land lot has been postponed again.
Specifically, Vietnam Auction Joint Stock Company has announced the temporary suspension of the auction of land use rights for 57 plots of land (phase 1) in Cao Duong commune, Thanh Oai district. The reason comes from the Thanh Oai district People's Committee's official dispatch on the temporary suspension of the auction of land use rights for 114 plots of land in the commune.
According to the plan, the 114 lots will be divided into 2 auctions, each with 57 lots. The lots that have just been postponed belong to the first auction.
Customers who have registered to participate in the auction will be refunded their application fee. The time to reorganize the auction will be announced by the district after reviewing the legality, conditions, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
The 57 lots auctioned in the first phase in Cao Duong commune have an area of 74 - 135 m2. Previously, the starting price of the land plots was only about 7.3 million VND/m2. However, the district has temporarily suspended the auction to adjust the K coefficient and raised the starting price to 8.8 million VND/m2, equivalent to 660 million VND - 1.2 billion VND/plot. The deposit has therefore increased to 131.3 - 237 million VND/lot.
Previously, on August 10, Thanh Oai district organized an auction of 68 plots of land in Thanh Cao commune. This auction caused a stir in public opinion when many plots of land had record high winning prices, from 63 - 90 million VND/m2, even some plots of land were up to 100 million VND/m2, while the starting price was only 8.6 - 12.5 million VND/m2.
On August 21, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued a telegram requesting relevant agencies to rectify and strictly handle violations in land use rights auctions. Immediately following this directive, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment established a team to inspect the implementation and organization of land auctions in Hoai Duc and Thanh Oai districts.
Recently, many localities in Hanoi have temporarily suspended land auctions. For example, Hoai Duc district announced the suspension of auctions of 52 land lots in Long Khuc area, Tien Yen commune - where the winning bid was recorded at 133 million VND/m2. Similarly, Ha Dong district also suspended the auction of 27 land lots in Phu Luong, Yen Nghia and Duong Noi wards.
