The delegation visited wounded soldier Nguyen Van Co, born in 1936, in Thanh Lap village; Mr. Pham Duc Tru, born in 1930, in Luy Duong village, Gia Luong commune and the family of Mr. Nguyen The Ky, son of martyr Nguyen Van Kich, in Tam Luong village, Tan Tien commune.
At the places visited, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich and members of the delegation kindly inquired about the health and living conditions of Dien Bien soldiers and their relatives. They expressed their respect and gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the martyrs and soldiers, contributing to the success of the historic Dien Bien Phu Victory.
Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich wished the Dien Bien soldiers and their relatives good health, and continued contributions of experience and intelligence to build the homeland and country to be more and more prosperous and developed. She also requested local Party committees and authorities to pay attention and do a good job of "repaying gratitude" to families of policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, especially soldiers, families of martyrs, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers participating in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
Currently, Gia Loc district has 51 people who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign living locally, including 7 war invalids.
