In order to help organizations, individuals, and startups equip themselves with knowledge, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon Innovation Hub) and other units opened a training course on "Improving Innovative Startup Capacity in 2023", from December 5 to 23.

The training course includes training classes, equipping startups with lean startup knowledge, e-commerce buying and selling processes, intellectual property management and brand development, building sustainable business models, building capital profiles and market management...

The team of lecturers are strategic management experts for large domestic and foreign corporations. From there, students will better understand the method of analyzing and determining customer and product portraits through real stories and Live campaign goals of major brands.

Through the training course, startups will be able to increase their success rate and gain skills to operate business models that meet current social development trends.

The program cooperates with Tiktok, Kalive and Ecomeasy to organize a program to support startups in bringing products to market.

In the first phase, the organizers will select 25 start-up projects in Ho Chi Minh City to participate in the training course, in fields such as: agriculture, processed food, fashion, services, household goods, technology products, health, cosmetics, beauty...

In addition, the speakers will analyze the process of building large brands of domestic and foreign corporations. From there, it will help startups grasp the operating methods suitable for the trend and develop a campaign to develop a business model.

According to Ms. Dang Thi Luan, Deputy Director of the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances in Ho Chi Minh City, every year there are 50 million startup projects born in the world, of which there are about 1,000 projects in Vietnam, more than 90% of startups fail when starting a business, this rate in the world is about 75 - 90%. In the first 3 years, up to 92% of startups fail, the main reason comes from not finding a suitable strategy for the market as well as lack of knowledge before starting a business.

“With the explosion of online shopping trends in recent years, we encourage and support startups to implement multi-channel sales activities. With the activities in this training series, we will provide in-depth knowledge on the art of online sales, or creating effective marketing strategies. Thereby encouraging creativity in sales, helping individuals and startups find new ways to promote products, interact and take care of customers more effectively,” Ms. Dang Thi Luan shared.
