Accordingly, TikTok is at risk of being banned in the US if its parent company ByDance, based in China, does not divest from the app. The US believes that the app collects user information in the US and transfers it to China.
President Trump revealed that he wants the US to own 50% of TikTok in a joint venture and would also be open if Elon Musk wanted to buy TikTok.
However, Elon Musk said: he has no intention of buying TikTok and has no plans to do anything if he owns this application.
