On the afternoon of August 28, at Trang Tan Khuong Primary School and Long Thoi High School (Nha Be District), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training organized a meeting to guide parents of students from the American International School to transfer schools.
However, according to the records, not many parents came to listen to instructions on transferring their children to other schools. Most of the parents who attended the instructions intended to transfer their children to other schools so that they could return to school at the beginning of the new school year.
Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Bao Quoc informed that yesterday afternoon, August 27, following the direction of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Departments of Education and Training and schools with secondary blocks both public and non-public as well as international schools to review the number of students who have transferred schools.
By the evening of August 27, the number of students at the American International School who had not transferred schools was about 360, of which over 90 students did not have relevant information such as identification numbers.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has worked with the District and Thu Duc City Departments of Education and Training to assign students to appropriate schools based on student information and place of residence, accurately reviewing and assigning students to schools in localities, suitable for their current place of residence.
At the same time, review the school's targets as well as facilities, rooms, equipment, and personnel to ensure they are qualified to accept more students.
According to Mr. Quoc, at this point, the American International School is not qualified to resume operations. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has issued a document suspending the school's educational activities. Therefore, we hope that parents will follow the documents and instructions of the department to coordinate to help students have a stable place to study in the new school year.
