More than 200 typical OCOP products of Quang Nam and Da Nang converge in the tourist city

On the evening of August 16, the 2024 Quang Nam and Da Nang OCOP Product Exhibition and Introduction Program officially opened at the East bank of Dragon Bridge. The program was organized by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Nam province in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang city.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Viet Tich - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Nam province said: "This is a typical economic and social event, aiming to display and promote OCOP products of the two localities, thereby demonstrating the outstanding results of the process of building and developing OCOP products and agricultural products in recent times.

From there, we introduce the products to consumers, build trust, and contribute to promoting sustainable product consumption. The event is also an opportunity to connect trade between suppliers and export enterprises and trade promotion organizations, businesses, cooperatives, and craft villages in the two provinces and cities.

Introduce and connect businesses, cooperatives, craft villages, and production and business establishments that are OCOP entities of the two localities to meet, learn about market information, connect supply and demand of goods, and bring goods into the distribution system for export to foreign markets.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Huy - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Da Nang City said: "Da Nang City is a large urban area, the center of the Central region and the whole country, a tourist city. Therefore, the potential market for consuming OCOP, agricultural, key and typical products is very large and this event is an opportunity to promote trade, connect consumption and promote the brand of OCOP products not only to Da Nang people but also to domestic and foreign tourists.

At the same time, during this time, Da Nang City also organizes many activities and festivals that will contribute to attracting tourists to the event and our people will sell many OCOP products, key and typical of Quang - Da (Quang Nam - Da Nang), spreading throughout the localities in the country and internationally.

Ms. Diep Thi Thao Trang - Representative of the High-tech Agricultural Cooperative of Thang Binh District (Quang Nam Province) shared: "This event is an opportunity for the cooperative to promote and introduce clean agricultural products and high-tech agricultural products to consumers. Through this, I also learned from the experience of large manufacturers in trade promotion to expand the consumer market."

From there, we can find new customers, expand the market, increase revenue…”.
