The Hanoi Department of Education and Training and school principals met to review admission scores for public grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year this morning (July 1).

The conference was held at the hall of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training with the participation of leaders of the Department and its departments and principals of public high schools.
Specifically, from 8:00 a.m. on July 1, the Department of Education and Training will hold a meeting to unify and approve the benchmark scores for specialized classes. From 1:00 p.m. on the same day, the Department will approve the benchmark scores for non-specialized grade 10 and the benchmark scores will be announced later.
Previously, at 5:00 p.m. on June 29, the Department of Education and Training officially announced the exam scores for grade 10 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year. The Department also sent an official dispatch to its affiliated units regarding the adjustment of the schedule for admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year.
From July 1 to July 4, the Department will carry out the following tasks: announce admission scores for specialized and non-specialized schools; hand over admission data to serve online admission confirmation; hand over admission score results to public high schools.
From July 3 to July 9, educational institutions receive student appeal applications; submit appeal applications and lists of students to the Department of Education and Training.
No later than July 4, the Department of Education and Training will receive the Admission Results Notification for grade 10 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year to distribute to students.
Before 11:00 a.m. on July 5, public high schools for both specialized and non-specialized students will announce the list of 10th grade admission results. From 1:30 p.m. on the same day, admission will be confirmed online and in person.
On July 6-7, public schools will continue to confirm admission online and in person. The Department recommends that if any student voluntarily submits an application for admission, schools will facilitate the admission according to the instructions.
From 1:30 p.m. on July 6-7, public and private high schools, vocational education and continuing education centers will confirm enrollment online and in person; and at the same time, receive admission applications according to regulations.
No later than July 10, the Department of Education and Training, specialized schools, and non-specialized schools will approve additional benchmark scores (if any); in the morning, additional scores for specialized schools will be approved, and in the afternoon, additional scores for non-specialized schools will be approved.
From July 12-15, public schools (specialized and non-specialized) will confirm direct admission and receive admission applications based on standard scores (if any). During this time, private and autonomous public schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers will confirm direct admission and receive additional admission applications (if any).
No later than July 25, the Department of Education and Training will receive the review results from the Department and return to the student the Admission Result Notification after the review (if any).
From July 25-27, schools will process student records after appeals (if any).
On July 29, schools confirm direct admission and receive applications from students admitted after review (if any).
Thus, the admission schedule of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training was pushed up many days earlier than previously planned.
The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place on June 8-9, with more than 105,000 candidates. Those who registered for specialized classes took the additional exam on June 10. Two days ago, the Department announced the exam scores. The admission score for non-specialized high schools is the sum of the Literature and Math scores multiplied by a factor of two, plus the Foreign Language exam score. For specialized programs, this is the sum of the three subjects Math, Literature, and Foreign Language plus the specialized subject score multiplied by a factor of two. The valedictorian of this year's general education program is Nguyen Hoang Minh Quan, class 9A, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted with 48.5/50 points. Of which, Quan achieved absolute scores in two subjects: Math and English, Literature 9.25. In addition, the male student achieved 8.25 points in the specialized Math and IT exam and 7.2 points in specialized English. Within 10 days of knowing the score, candidates can submit a request for review at the place of exam registration, and receive the results no later than July 28. |
