When students receive letters of commendation

On April 11, the Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City awarded letters of commendation to 123 outstanding students in kindergartens, general schools, specialized education schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers in the district.

Not only students who are good at studying, but also those who are good at sports and help their friends… also receive letters of commendation from the head of the education department. All letters of commendation are written in detail about the students’ good deeds. The letters are framed in a solemn glass frame.

After receiving their letters of commendation on stage, many students attentively read and re-read their letters of commendation after returning to their seats. Nguyen Hoang Bao Anh, a 4/5 grade student at Khai Minh Primary School, was among them.

Bao Anh's letter of commendation reads:

"Dear Nguyen Hoang Bao Anh, a student of class 4/5. I congratulate you, an outstanding student from Khai Minh Primary School, on becoming a "Typical student of District 1 competing to practice the 5 teachings of Uncle Ho".

I am an exemplary and responsible class monitor. I am a student who loves reading, studies hard, and is always active in speaking up in class. I am also an active member of the school's Aerobic team and the "Children's Literature" club. Commendably, I have a collection of gold medals for my achievements in sports from the district to the city level that everyone admires. Most recently, I won the gold medal at the city-level Aerobic competition and was also honored in the "Children's Literature" magazine. I have achieved the title of Outstanding Uncle Ho's Good Child at the district level for the 2024-2025 school year.

I wish you always be happy, healthy, obedient, study well and continue to promote your strengths and spread them to everyone."

Bao Anh said: "I am very happy and proud to receive this letter of commendation. The letter is very different from the certificates of commendation at school. I feel like I am very encouraged."

It is known that the awarding of letters of commendation is one of the activities of the ceremony to honor "Typical students of District 1 competing to implement Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" for the period 2022 - 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Giang, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that each outstanding student today is a "red seed" nurtured by patriotism, the will to study and compassion - just as Uncle Ho once advised: "Young people do small things, according to their strength".

"Every good deed, every useful work, no matter how small, will contribute to making the school where the children study brighter, our city more beautiful, our country stronger. I believe that from this program, there will be more examples of "Uncle Ho's Good Children" continuing to shine and writing the beautiful journey of education in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City" - Ms. Giang said.

In 3 years, nearly 10,000 students received letters of commendation.

It is known that in 3 years of implementing the movement "Typical students of District 1 compete to practice Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" (2022 - 2025), nearly 10,000 students of all levels have received letters of commendation from the head of the Department of Education and Training of District 1.
