Sports Festival of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises

This morning, May 23, at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium, the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises Sports Festival 2024. The sports festival attracted 558 athletes from 49 grassroots party organizations, including 37 grassroots party committees and 12 grassroots party cells; competing in 3 sports: tennis, badminton and volleyball.

In tennis, athletes compete in men's doubles and men's freestyle doubles.

In badminton, athletes compete in 3 categories: men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles in the under 45 age group and the 45 age group and over.

In volleyball, there are 24 teams divided into 8 groups; each group competes in a round robin to determine points, selecting the 8 teams with the highest scores in the 8 groups to compete in the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.

The sports festival takes place from May 23-25, 2024 at 5 competition venues: Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Nguyen Hue Sports Gymnasium, Provincial Labor Federation Gymnasium, Quang Tri Electricity Company Tennis Court and Quang Tri Petroleum Company Tennis Court.

The sports festival organized this time is an activity in a series of emulation activities to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the unification of the Provincial Party Committee of Agencies and Enterprises on July 1 (2019-2024).

Through the sports festival, the aim is to promote the movement of physical training and sports among cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers; strengthen solidarity and cohesion among grassroots party organizations, contribute to improving health and physical fitness, and strive to excellently complete political tasks, Party building and union work in each unit.
