TPO - The People's Committee of A Luoi district (TT-Hue province) has issued a decision approving the list of poor and near-poor households receiving housing support under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction for 920 households, with a total cost of more than 48 billion VND.
The Steering Committee for Sustainable Poverty Reduction of A Luoi district (TT-Hue province) has just held a preliminary review of sustainable poverty reduction work in the first 7 months of 2023 and implemented a plan to escape poverty in 2023.
In recent times, implementing sustainable poverty reduction, A Luoi district has initially achieved positive results. Specifically, the poverty rate of the whole district has decreased by 11.78%, equivalent to 1,623 households, exceeding the set plan by 193 households.

Based on the target allocation plan of the Steering Committee for Sustainable Poverty Reduction of TT-Hue province, the Steering Committee for Sustainable Poverty Reduction of A Luoi district sets a target of reducing the number of poor households to 3,691 in 2023, with the remaining rate of more than 26%; in 2024, reducing to 2,234 poor households, the rate is nearly 16%; in 2025, reducing to 1,784 poor households, the rate is 12%.
According to the Steering Committee for Sustainable Poverty Reduction in A Luoi district, from the beginning of 2023 to present, economic sectors in the district are estimated to create jobs for 778 workers; organize 7 vocational training classes for more than 210 students under the National Target Program (NTP) on Socio-economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2030.
The whole district has 3,959 households in need of housing support. In 2022, a plan was implemented to support 903 houses for poor and near-poor households under the National Target Program.
The People's Committee of A Luoi district has issued a decision approving the list of poor and near-poor households receiving housing support in 2023 under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for 920 households, with a total cost of more than 48 billion VND.
To date, the district has approved a list of 74 households receiving housing support under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, so that people can start building their homes. The A Luoi District People's Committee is currently allocating funds for implementation.
To carry out the poverty reduction task in the remaining months of 2023, the A Luoi District Poverty Reduction Steering Committee has proposed 6 groups of key tasks and solutions to bring this mountainous border locality out of the list of poor districts nationwide according to the plan, especially closely following the plan and direction of the TT-Hue Provincial Sustainable Poverty Reduction Steering Committee.
