Speaking at the CFA Team China 2025 press conference, Vietnam U22 coach Dinh Hong Vinh said that Vietnam U22 participated in the tournament with the goal of building up its squad for the next important tournaments. "We are in the process of building the squad. Therefore, the tournament is an opportunity to test the players' abilities, especially their ability to adapt to tactics and competition pressure," said Mr. Vinh.
Before the tournament in China, U22 Vietnam had 2 draws with the same score of 1-1 with PVF Youth and Quang Ninh Club. The acting head coach of U22 Vietnam admitted that his team still has many points to improve, so the 3 matches at CFA Team China 2025 are extremely valuable, helping his students to improve.
According to coach Dinh Hong Vinh, U22 China is a team with good physique, good physical strength and disciplined playing style. Therefore, he and his students are especially looking forward to the match with the host team, like a quality test for his students.
“They always show fierceness in the disputes and possess many potential players playing at top clubs in China. This is a quality test for U22 Vietnam,” coach Dinh Hong Vinh emphasized.
At 2:30 p.m. on March 20, U22 Vietnam will play the opening match against U22 Korea. After that, U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Uzbekistan (March 23) and U22 China (March 25).
