HIEUTHUHAI and GERDNANG brothers participate in 8WONDER Moon Festival

GERDNANG is increasingly prominent in the rap scene in particular and Vietnamese music in general.

Not only famous for their expertise, they also score points in the hearts of the audience because of their brotherly bond as in the lyrics of the song We Are Brothers : "Side by side, sharing the same dream".

HIEUTHUHAI spreads the GERDNANG team

In GERDNANG, HIEUTHUHAI (Tran Minh Hieu) stands out.

He has a large fan base and a certain influence on GERDNANG because of his ability to spread the team to everyone with his charisma.

HIEUTHUHAI supports HURRYKNG in Rap Viet season 3

Before 2020, despite releasing many products, GERDNANG was still not a known name.

When HIEUTHUHAI participated and succeeded (won the most favorite contestant award and top 5 finalists) in the first season of King of Rap in 2020, GERDNANG really shined.

GERDNANG is always the name HIEUTHUHAI mentioned when he participated in King of Rap.

When HURRYKNG - a friend in the group - joined Rap Viet season 3, HIEUTHUHAI enthusiastically supported as a guest artist to perform together.

Even when accepting shows, he also finds ways to pull the GERDNANG brothers into performing together.

In a conversation two years ago, when HIEUTHUHAI was already famous, he always had respectful words for his brothers.

“I am very confident in my team and our plan. I feel like everyone can do it and make it happen.

I want the whole team to grow together. I live with the idea that I must have my brothers. When I eat, my brothers eat with me, I don't eat alone.

Music sometimes suffers if there is no interaction with the brothers, it is not fun anymore.

It's just work. I feel uncomfortable with it so I will probably be with you guys for quite a long time," Hieu shared.

Now, among the 30 brothers of Anh trai say hi, the GERDNANG team has three people HIEUTHUHAI, HURRYKNG and Negav participating. And all three are currently standing out in this program.

The power of unity

GERDNANG was founded by three friends born in 1999 HIEUTHUHAI, MANBO and HURRYKNG.

In the early days of their activities, the three members focused more on their individual careers. But later they realized the power of unity under the name GERDNANG.

MANBO Member

Products such as Cua, Choi, Gerdnang freestyle 2, Hen gee em bieu anh trang... of the group were all well received by the audience.

The second member of the group is MANBO, real name Lam Bach Phuc Hau, who seems quiet. But for those in the profession, he is a special color of GERDNANG.

In 2020, the product called Nắng , combined with the voice of Chanee, male rapper MANBO brought sweet, warm emotions as the comment rewritten on YouTube: "This song helps me feel better and have more motivation and love life more, less negative".

HURRYKNG Member

HURRYKNG's real name is Pham Bao Khang, and he is a familiar name to the rap community.

In 2023, he joined Rap Viet and attracted attention from the beginning with the performance " Love me now".

Negav Member

The fourth member Negav (Dang Thanh An), born in 2001. He is the youngest in the group and has been called Ut Kho since joining the Brilliant Journey.

But now Ut is less "stupid" because the level of dialogue and "slashing" with the members participating in Say Brother has reached a new level.

The performances of the Negav group in the program were not inferior to any other team.

GERDNANG's success is an example of the philosophy: "If you want to go fast, go alone, but if you want to go far, go together."

GERDNANG was formed in 2018, with three members: HIEUTHUHAI, MANBO and HURRYKNG. The three rappers are all 'nerds' (Nerds) who can rap. Therefore, the name of the group GERDNANG is the reverse character of Nerd Gang.

Negav, Rex joined the team in 2022. But after a year, Rex left the team. Currently GERDNANG has four members.

In November 2020, GERDNANG successfully organized the NERD TOUR Let me go to school, including 16 shows taking place in provinces and cities across the country with the aim of raising funds to help children in the Central region go to school.

They are also one of the first rap groups to tour universities in Vietnam.

The 8WONDER Moon Festival - Autumn Festival event is organized by VinWonders at Ocean City Hanoi from September 6 to 8.
