Besides the entertainment factor and creating a playground before Tet, according to representatives of many schools, organizing the above music programs also has many purposes for society in general and schools in particular.

Nguyen Cong Tru High School in Go Vap District held the traditional music night Xuan Ngat Nguong last weekend, for the sixth time. The program is part of the school's New Year celebration activities. The Party Committee, leadership, and organizations always seek ways to make the event bring deeper educational values to students, according to Mr. Le Minh Trong, Youth Assistant.
"Xuan Ngat Nguong creates a space for art and music clubs and creative groups to participate and showcase their talents to a large audience. In addition, Xuan Ngat Nguong is also an important bridge to help students interact and connect with friends, teachers, parents and the community," said Mr. Trong.
"This event helps Nguyen Cong Tru High School develop more strongly," the male teacher emphasized. Specifically, Mr. Trong said that all the program's revenue is used for charity activities such as sponsoring heart surgeries and giving Tet gifts to students in difficult circumstances. In addition, the school also uses the revenue to upgrade facilities.

Mr. Kien added that the theme "Bring on Pride" was also the "guiding principle" for the school to decide to invite famous artists to participate, such as singer Quang Hung MasterD with his 10-year "race" in the art industry, or singer The Thien - nephew of the late musician Trinh Cong Son - who transformed himself to escape the "giant shadow". Why do some of the organizing team members have graduated and are working but still return to their old school to organize the music night with their teachers? Mr. Kien answered that the only common point and the strongest connection is passion and enthusiasm. Not only high schools, the District 12 Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center earlier this week also organized the Spring of Love program with the participation of rapper Captain Boy, rapper Coolkid... The event was organized to raise scholarship funds for disadvantaged students and this is the second time the center has organized this activity "with high consensus from the teaching staff", according to Mr. Nguyen Van Xuyen, Youth Assistant.

After the program, Mr. Xuyen added that he had awarded 20 scholarships to the students, and they also brought "a little spring" to Tran Hung Dao Secondary School (Gia Lai province) through another charity program.
