On March 22, the National Data Association (NDA) was officially launched and successfully held its first National Congress, term 1 (2025 - 2030). The mission of NDA is to connect management agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals operating in the data sector, aiming to build a strong data ecosystem, contributing to promoting the development of the digital economy and increasing the value of data in the national economy.
The event is of great significance, marking the step of perfecting the organization, orienting activities in the next 5 years, and affirming the pioneering role of the Association in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

At the Congress, many important contents were implemented: Announcing the Decision to establish the National Data Association; Summarizing the establishment process, the Association's Charter and draft directions and tasks for the 2025 - 2030 term; Introducing the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee for the first term; Announcing the Association's logo; Passing the Congress Resolution with high consensus from members.
General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, was elected as Chairman of the National Data Association. Speaking at the Congress, NDA Chairman Luong Tam Quang emphasized: "The Association will be a bridge between businesses, building a diverse and stable data ecosystem, meeting the requirements of sustainable digital transformation in all fields, creating a premise to bring the country into the new digital era".
During the first term, the Association will focus on key activities including: Coordinating with relevant authorities, associations and organizations to disseminate national policies and laws on data; Contributing opinions to relevant legal documents; Recommending and consulting competent state agencies on issues related to the development of the data industry; Supporting relevant authorities when requested.
NDA promises to become a common home, gathering and protecting the legitimate rights of members, promoting the sharing of knowledge, experience, application of scientific and technological achievements in the field of data, and at the same time actively contributing to the national digital transformation process, market development and data economy.
