Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, thoroughly grasped some basic contents of Resolution No. 57; at the same time, he clearly stated that Dong Nai is one of the localities with many favorable conditions for developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation with many prestigious industrial parks, universities, and research institutes.
Therefore, in the coming time, the province needs to closely coordinate with units, take advantage of advantages, and drastically implement breakthrough solutions to develop science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57.
According to Mr. Duong Minh Dung, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee identifies the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as the top priority and necessary task for rapid and sustainable economic development. The province identifies innovation as the driving force, digital transformation as the key, combining green transformation and high-tech industry to achieve double-digit growth in 2025 and sustainably in the following years. In addition, the locality will develop policies and mechanisms to attract science and technology human resources and leading experts and scientists.
The Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the locality is committed to creating a favorable environment for the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. In the coming time, the province will continue to perfect more appropriate mechanisms and policies to support innovative enterprises to develop the digital technology industry.
Implementing Resolution No. 57, the Standing Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee has issued a plan to deploy goals and tasks; in which it is clearly defined that economic development must be based on science and technology, taking innovation as the driving force, and digital transformation as the key tool.
By 2030, Dong Nai aims to develop a sustainable digital technology industry with the core being the Long Thanh Concentrated Information Technology Park (Long Thanh Digital Industrial Park); forming a digital technology industry ecosystem of Dong Nai province with strategic technologies including: semiconductors, data centers, artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), big data (BigData), cloud computing (Cloud), blockchain. The province is moving towards becoming a digital technology industry center and developing into a Digital Center of Vietnam and Southeast Asia with the core being the Long Thanh Concentrated Information Technology Park by 2045.
Dong Nai strives for the digital economy to reach 35-37% of GRDP by 2030, 50% of GRDP by 2045; of which the digital economy of all sectors and fields accounts for 70%. In addition, the province focuses on building synchronous policy mechanisms to support and accompany businesses in the process of developing science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. The locality continues to improve the investment environment, creating favorable conditions for businesses to access new technology, apply smart production models and innovate.
