"This fine in Vietnam is high, but compared to other countries it is still low. In the near future, the fine for these acts will have to be increased," said the Minister. The Minister said that currently, only social network users who speak ill of others are fined, while the responsibility of network operators and social networks is still unclear. "Other countries impose very heavy fines, even up to millions of USD. They stipulate the responsibility of network operators and social networks, and even social network owners may have to go to jail under Singaporean law," the Minister cited and said that in the near future, regulations on how to handle network operators will be calculated.
