TPO - On the evening of August 23, a prolonged heavy rain caused many trees on many streets in the capital to fall and be uprooted... causing traffic obstruction.

From around 8:30 p.m. on August 23, Hanoi began to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, causing many trees in Hanoi to fall.

Locals said that after only about 20 minutes of heavy rain, the tree suddenly fell, fortunately causing no casualties.

On Ho Tung Mau Street (Cau Giay District), a tree fell and was uprooted, occupying 3/4 of the street.

A large tree stump was uprooted on the sidewalk.

Less than 50 meters away, a large tree also fell.

The fallen tree blocked the entire way into Tran Binh alley.

The neighborhood group and many residents helped cut down trees and clear the road for people.
