On July 1, information from the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board said that in the period of 2024 - 2027, this agency will coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology, Hai Phong University and Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park to train 1,000 - 1,200 engineers and experts specializing in electronics and semiconductor microchips for the engineering team in Hai Phong and neighboring areas.
This is one of the contents of the Program of coordination agreement on science, technology and innovation cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Committee of Hai Phong City. In addition, this program also trains 3,000 - 5,000 workers with basic skills in microchips to provide human resources for microchip and semiconductor design for businesses in Hai Phong and neighboring areas.
The Ministry of Science and Technology also coordinated with relevant units to support Hai Phong University in developing a capacity conversion training program for engineers and students in technical fields (information technology, mechatronic engineering technology, machine manufacturing technology, electrical and electronic engineering technology, control and automation engineering technology) to meet the training needs of human resources working in the semiconductor industry.
The training of engineers and experts specializing in semiconductor microcircuits will be carried out at the university and postgraduate levels in the forms of formal training, on-the-job training and distance learning. The training of high-quality, in-depth human resources in these fields will contribute to solving the difficulties and problems in high-quality human resources that enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones in Hai Phong are facing.
