On June 1, the house of Nguyen Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Hong in Mau Cong village, Quang Trung commune (Tu Ky) was filled with laughter and greetings from comrades at the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command. Hong and Thuy are orphans and are living with their elderly and weak uncle. Sympathizing with their situation, the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command and the Women's Union of the agency adopted the two children with a monthly support of 500,000 VND. On holidays and Tet, the head of the Provincial Military Command and the Women's Union of the agency visited and gave gifts to the two children. This activity is a great source of encouragement to help the children have more conditions to excel in their studies and life.

The “Godmother” program is also one of the 6 programs and models that have been materialized from the Quyet Thang emulation movement associated with studying and following Uncle Ho’s example of the provincial armed forces. Over the past 5 years, the agencies and units of the Provincial Military Command have sponsored 6 children in difficult circumstances, supporting each child with 500,000 VND/month until they finish primary school. This program not only spreads the humanistic meaning of the Quyet Thang emulation movement but also contributes to strengthening the close-knit relationship between the army and the people.

Many meaningful and practical activities have been implemented by agencies and units from the "Determined to Win" emulation movement. From 2019 to present, the provincial armed forces have helped 24 families in difficult circumstances with breeding animals and capital with an amount of over 100 million VND; coordinated medical examination and free medicine distribution for more than 2,300 policy families, war invalids and sick soldiers; effectively resolved policies and regimes, paid one-time subsidies to 7,930 subjects...

Implementing well the military rear policy, the agencies and units of the Provincial Military Command have supported and cared for 17 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; built 45 gratitude houses and "great solidarity" houses with a total amount of over 3.6 billion VND; visited and presented more than 3,900 gifts to policy families, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area and military families in difficult circumstances worth over 2.5 billion VND; supported the "Repaying gratitude" Fund with a total amount of over 1.6 billion VND...

The emulation movement "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas" is associated with the emulation movement Determined to Win. Up to now, all units under the Provincial Military Command have signed the program to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas in the locality. From 2019 to present, officers and soldiers of the provincial military force have coordinated to organize 1,000 working days to clean up and clear the flow; propagate and mobilize people to donate over 18,715 ^m2 of land; participate in 28,000 working days; coordinate to build over 338.4 km of rural roads; dredge and renovate 238 km of canals and inner fields.

Improve training quality

The emulation movement of the provincial armed forces is associated with the task of improving the quality of training, combat readiness, and exercises to motivate each officer and soldier to compete and complete their assigned tasks well. From 2019 to present, the provincial armed forces have launched 6 "Determined to Win" emulation movements, 3 long-term emulation movements, 21 "surprise" emulation periods, and peak emulation periods.

Every year, units also pay attention to investing funds to build and renovate training grounds and training grounds, and to renew many teaching tools. The initiative writing movement has been widely deployed, with many models applied in agencies and units, serving training work. Thanks to that, in recent years, the training work of the Provincial Military Command has been carried out in accordance with the motto, meeting 100% of the requirements. The Provincial Military Command has won many high prizes in competitions and sports events at all levels.

Every year, the provincial Party Committee and armed forces command have focused on leading and directing the promotion of emulation movements, focusing on improving the quality of political education, disseminating and popularizing legal education, considering this the most important basic solution to build a strong armed force. 100% of the provincial military forces have completed their tasks, of which 87.6% have completed their tasks excellently and well; 84.1% of party members have completed their tasks excellently and well.

According to Colonel Ho Sy Quyen, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, over the past 5 years, the emulation movement "Determination to Win" of the provincial armed forces has developed comprehensively and widely, with many innovations and creativity, achieving high results. The provincial armed forces have always excellently fulfilled the set goals and emulation targets, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security in the province.

With the achievements and results, over the past 5 years, the provincial armed forces have had 798 collectives and 2,561 individuals awarded by all levels. For many consecutive years, the provincial military forces have been awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense, the Military Region Command and the Provincial People's Committee. In particular, in 2022, the Provincial Military Command was awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Order by the President.
