Two traffic projects with long-standing land acquisition problems are about to reach the finish line

According to the plan of the Ministry of Transport, in the first quarter of 2025, 2 road traffic projects will be completed and put into operation.


According to information from the Ministry of Transport, in the first quarter of 2025, two road projects will be completed and put into operation to serve the people, including: the project to renovate weak bridges and connect on national highways and the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, Hoa Binh City bypass, Hoa Binh province.

Reporting detailed progress, Project Management Board 6 (investor) said that the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6, avoiding Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Province, has a route length of 5 km, with a total investment of 473 billion VND.

Up to now, the locality has handed over 4.3/5km, with about 700m of "rice and beans" (14 sections) still without clearance.

In favorable locations, the contractor has completed the road surface. The estimated output value to date is 170/197 billion VND, reaching 86% of the total construction value, meeting the required progress. "The Board is actively working with the locality, handling difficulties, and promptly handing over the remaining area so that the contractor can concentrate on construction and complete the project as planned," said a representative of Project Management Board 6.

Regarding the project to renovate weak bridges and connect on national highways phase 1, according to the leader of Project Management Board 2 (investor), the project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND, building 6 bridges: Ben Moi; Xom Bong; Doan Hung; Da Phuc; Song Truong and Nuoc Oa on national highways nationwide.

By the end of 2024, 5/6 bridges have been completed. The remaining Da Phuc bridge has not been completed due to land clearance problems.

Closely coordinating with the locality to speed up the progress of handling site clearance problems, Project Management Board 2 is also directing supervision consultants and contractors to prepare human resources and construction machinery, striving to complete in January 2025.

According to the plan of the Ministry of Transport, along with 2 projects to be completed in the first quarter of 2025, the Ministry has set a roadmap to complete 50 projects. Of which, completing component projects, connecting the North-South expressway in the East; Together with localities, completing a number of expressway projects to complete the goal of putting 3,000km of expressway into operation; completing and basically connecting the Ho Chi Minh road and basically completing the Long Thanh International Airport project.
