Ha Tinh does not allow interruption in gasoline supply during Tet

Petroleum businesses in Ha Tinh have proactively taken measures with the determination not to interrupt supply, especially before, during and after the 2024 Lunar New Year.

Recently, on January 24, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 09/CD-TTg on focusing on implementing solutions to ensure adequate supply of gasoline for production, business and consumption of people and businesses.

Giang Nam Petroleum Company Limited Ha Tinh Branch is constantly expanding its network of retail gasoline stores in the area.

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and relevant agencies have also issued instructions and documents requesting departments, branches, units, localities, key enterprises, distributors, general agents, agents and retail gasoline stores in the area to promptly implement related contents. In particular, strengthening inspection, supervision, ensuring supply and compliance with the law in gasoline trading; not to interrupt the supply of gasoline in the business system; maintaining sales activities at retail gasoline stores of enterprises according to regulations.

In recent times, Giang Nam Petroleum Company Limited, Ha Tinh Branch has always focused on solutions to provide enough petroleum to serve the needs of people and businesses at all times. In the immediate future, the company has proactively developed and implemented a plan to supply goods to fully and promptly meet the needs of people and businesses.

Mr. Hoang Van Tien - Director of Giang Nam Petroleum Company, Ha Tinh Branch said: "Since the end of 2023, the company has focused on analyzing, assessing and developing a plan for 2024 on the total amount of gasoline sold. On that basis, the company has proactively and actively sought sources of gasoline to import, including sources from abroad and sources from two domestic oil refineries with the goal of meeting enough gasoline sources for the affiliated distribution system in all situations. In addition, the company always maintains a minimum inventory level according to the regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and this is considered an important solution to stabilize the market if there is a situation of supply interruption".

Leaders of Giang Nam Petroleum Company, Ha Tinh Branch inspected retail gasoline stores to find appropriate supply solutions during Tet.

Ha Tinh Petroleum Company is supplied with petroleum from 2 reserve warehouses in Nghe An province with a capacity of 90,000 m3 . With 80 petroleum stations across the province, in 2023, the company will achieve a revenue growth of 15% compared to 2022.

Mr. Truong Doan Duc - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Petroleum Company informed: "Forecasting the demand for gasoline and oil consumption of people and businesses to increase dramatically during the Lunar New Year, the company has proposed to the Vietnam National Petroleum Group to register a supply source that increases by over 20% compared to normal times and develop a backup plan to avoid supply disruption. At the same time, the company has increased the allocation of human resources to stores to promptly serve customers' needs, avoiding congestion during the Tet holiday."

Ha Tinh currently has 2 petroleum depots with a capacity of 69,000 m3 , of which Vung Ang petroleum depot (Ky Loi commune, Ky Anh town) has a capacity of 60,000 m3 and Xuan Giang petroleum depot (Xuan Giang commune, Nghi Xuan) has a capacity of 9,000 m3 .

The whole province has 5 wholesale traders and 7 distributors with a total of 231 retail gasoline stores on land and 5 retail gasoline stores on water. According to the industry, with 1.3 million people, the average annual demand for gasoline and oil in Ha Tinh province is about 360,000 m3 .

Ha Tinh Petroleum Company proactively builds plans to fully and promptly supply gasoline to serve people and businesses before, during and after Tet.

Mr. Tran Van Lam - Deputy Head of the Trade Management Department, Ha Tinh Department of Industry and Trade said: "Implementing the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee on ensuring adequate supply of gasoline and oil to serve people and businesses before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many directive documents and regulations on inter-sectoral coordination in gasoline and oil management. At the same time, the Department and functional forces have strengthened inspection and supervision of gasoline and oil trading enterprises, organized work, and signed commitments with enterprises to ensure supply. According to reports from key enterprises, distributors... currently, the gasoline and oil reserves of the supply units are sufficient and timely for the system of affiliated gasoline stores and the franchise dealer system.

In the coming time, Ha Tinh will continue to strengthen inspection and closely monitor the petroleum business at petroleum retail stores in the area, ensuring that sales are not interrupted, especially before the petroleum price adjustment cycle; not affecting the operations of petroleum business units. In case of detecting petroleum stores stopping sales, hoarding goods, reducing output, reducing sales time against regulations for profit, the Department of Industry and Trade will strictly handle according to the provisions of law.
