Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024: Preparations in full swing

In just over a week, the UIM-ABP Aquabike International Water Motorcycle Race will take place on Thi Nai Bay (Quy Nhon City). This is an important event that opens the exciting program series of the Amazing Binh Dinh Fest Week 2024. Currently, the preparation work is being urgently carried out by relevant units.

Among the many tasks related to the preparation stage, the investment in construction and installation of infrastructure for the UIM-ABP Aquabike International Water Motorcycle Race and the UIM F1H2O International Powerboat Race (Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024) is the most important.

On March 14, reporters were present at the main area where the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 will take place and noted that the construction unit was rushing to complete the installation of the grandstand, with a capacity of about 7,000 seats. About 200 meters away, the stage serving the event was also being erected.

Both the grandstand and the stage are installed with a very sturdy composite iron frame structure, with a completion progress of about 95%. Another construction team is also busy installing a pontoon bridge (the starting point for the racers), with a length of about 150 m. Mr. Nguyen Huu Loc added: "After completing the investment in construction and infrastructure installation, the organizing committee also directed many teams of workers to focus on cleaning and decorating the landscape."

Another key task to the success of the race is the survey and scanning of the route and water surface area in Thi Nai Bay, which has now been completed. According to Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company, the unit organizing the dredging and cleaning of the route in an area of 40 hectares of water surface, of which 20 hectares of water surface will serve the race. Some works serving the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 such as: the Operator House, the press center, the equipment repair area, the venue for the first Binh Dinh Food Festival - 2024... are also being urgently prepared by the construction units, ensuring the set schedule.

In addition, environmental sanitation work in the area hosting the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 (on land and underwater) is also of special concern. According to the plan, the organizing committee will arrange the installation of 60 mobile toilets, of which the Quy Nhon City People's Committee will support 40 mobile toilets, along with many trash cans.

Visual propaganda activities to promote the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 and the Amazing Binh Dinh Fest Week 2024 on the streets and areas where events and programs take place using billboards, banners, flags, pennants, etc. are also being actively deployed by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Quy Nhon City.

These days, traveling on the main roads in Quy Nhon city, such as Nguyen Tat Thanh, An Duong Vuong, Truong Chinh, Dong Da, Le Duan, Le Duc Tho..., people can easily recognize the propaganda slogans about the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 and the sideline activities. In addition, the remaining tasks of traffic flow; ensuring security and order; entry for international racing teams; preparing convenient and comfortable places to eat, stay, and travel for tourists; or ensuring food safety and hygiene... are also carefully prepared by the Provincial Police, Quy Nhon City Police and related units.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized that the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 is the first international and marine sports event held in Vietnam, hosted by Binh Dinh province. This is a good opportunity for the province to introduce, promote its potential, strengths and promote the cultural values, resources and typical tourism products of Binh Dinh to attract domestic and foreign tourists; it is also an opportunity for the province to attract investment and develop socio-economic development.

The Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024 will have 2 races, including: UIM ABP Aquabike International Water Motorcycle Race (taking place from March 22 - 24) and UIM F1H2O International Motor Boat Race (taking place from March 29 - 31).
