(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of April 12, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan inspected the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in communes in An Lao district. Accompanying him were representatives of relevant departments and branches of the province and An Lao district.

According to the report of An Lao district, as of April 10, the district has started construction and repair of houses in the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 738/738 households, reaching 100% of the implementation plan. As a result, 462/738 houses have been completed and put into use, of which 291 households have built new houses and 171 have been repaired, reaching 62.60% of the plan.

In addition to the province's support, An Lao district has mobilized organizations and individuals through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province with an amount of over 700 million VND, supporting construction materials, floor tiles of about 400 square meters to further support households that are unable to respond; mobilized resources through loans from social policy banks for 312 poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty with a total loan amount of nearly 12.5 billion VND.

Chairman of An Lao District People's Committee Trinh Xuan Long pledged to complete the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district according to the schedule by the end of May 2025. At the same time, he proposed that the province soon approve the policy and supplement the budget of 3,150 billion VND to support 61 meritorious households in the district who have built houses from 2022 to 2024, including 44 newly built houses and 17 repaired houses.

Through on-site inspections of 5 households building new houses in the district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan commended and highly appreciated the initiative and sense of responsibility of the political system of An Lao district in joining hands to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; at the same time, emphasizing that this is an important task with profound humanistic significance, contributing to ensuring social security, requiring the joint efforts of the whole community with the highest spirit and determination.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also requested An Lao district to continue to closely follow the program implementation plan in the area to complete it soon in May 2025, in which it continues to mobilize the participation of the entire political system and people, replicate good practices to join hands and contribute to eliminating temporary houses. At the same time, regularly urge and speed up the progress of starting construction and building the remaining temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. Continue to mobilize forces from organizations, unions, agencies and forces to support people in the process of building houses, especially providing additional support for households in real difficulty and unable to cope. In addition, the district needs to proactively remove obstacles in disbursement and must ensure the quality of housing projects.

The head of the provincial government also specifically noted that An Lao district needs to review and classify poor and near-poor households that are still of working age and in good health to coordinate with relevant sectors of the province to organize vocational training, introduce suitable jobs, ensure the goal of sustainable poverty reduction and implement livelihood support models for these households.
