(Dan Tri) - On the occasion of Christmas, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Rehabilitation and Support for Disabled Children organized the event "Giving Love", bringing joy and warmth to the children being cared for here.
On December 17, in front of sparkling ribbons, pure white snowflakes and cheerful Christmas music, hundreds of children at the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Rehabilitation and Support for Disabled Children, happily attended the festival. Some of them attended the Christmas party for the first time, their faces full of excitement.

Sitting next to the children, care specialist Nguyen Phong Dao (31 years old) seemed to be happy because of the common atmosphere. Mr. Dao said that when coming to the center, many children were diagnosed with autism, afraid of noise and afraid to meet and interact with strangers. After a period of time in the "common home", the children gradually became more open and comfortable. The journey of clapping hands happily to the music is a big step forward for many children.
Working in the field of caring for disabled children for more than 3 years, Mr. Dao said that this is "a job that not everyone can do".

"In the early days, many children could not speak, only expressing their emotions through screaming, and all hygiene and daily activities depended on the caregivers. Witnessing those scenes, I felt very heartbroken, felt more compassion and wanted to take care of them so that their lives would be better," Mr. Dao confided.
Attending the event, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan expressed his emotion when witnessing the eyes and joy of disadvantaged children.

"Christmas is not only an occasion for people to share love together, but also a time for us to remind ourselves of solidarity, empathy and responsibility towards the community.
Looking at the children's smiles today, I believe more and more that with the care, love and support of the community, they will overcome difficulties to confidently affirm their values," said the Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Center, philanthropists, donors and organizations have worked with the unit to prepare hundreds of gifts for the children here. The Center's representative received 1 elevator worth 450 million VND; 230 gifts worth 50 million VND; 100 boxes of therapeutic essential oils worth 5 million VND; 130 million VND for the Center's staff to celebrate Tet.
A volunteer group consisting of many overseas Vietnamese members also attended the event, bringing many knitted toys for the children.
"The gifts help to light up the faith and the flame of hope for many children in adversity. The strong support of the whole society is the motivation for the Center to continue to make efforts to care for children. Where there is love, there is miracle," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang.
