On the morning of March 30, on the Dak Bla River, the Kon Tum City People's Committee organized the 2024 Open Canoe Race. This is an activity in a series of events to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the founding of Kon Tum City (April 10, 2009 - April 10, 2024).

The tournament gathered more than 70 athletes from 14 units with 42 racing boats from communes and wards in Kon Tum city, Kon Tum Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and Ia H'Drai, Sa Thay, Tu Mo Rong districts. The athletes competed in 2 distances of 400m and 1000m.

After a competition with thrilling, suspenseful and emotional chases for achievements, under the enthusiastic cheers of thousands of spectators, the 2024 Open Canoe Race ended successfully. The Organizing Committee awarded 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, 2 Third Prizes and 14 Encouragement Prizes to athletes with high achievements in the 400m and 1000m distances.

The Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Sa Binh Commune Team (Sa Thay District), the Second Prize to the Kroong Commune Team; the Third Prize to the Dak Bla Commune Team, and the Encouragement Prize to the Dak Ro Wa Commune Team (Kon Tum City).
